Phlox divaricata
A graceful native groundcover that brings soft color and fragrance to spring woodlands and shade gardens. Woodland phlox forms loose, spreading clumps of semi-evergreen foliage topped with clusters of blue, lavender, or violet blooms that support early-season pollinators. Naturally found in rich, deciduous forests across eastern North America, it thrives in dappled light and moist soils.
