Lavandula spp.
We all know this one! A brilliant herb to add to any yard. Its pleasant aroma make it a must have. Keep in mind, Lavender is particular about its environment. They need full sun AND extremely well-draining, sandy/gravelly soil. Excessive moisture or humidity will kill the plant. Some people amend the surrounding soil with sand when planting lavender.
