Fothergilla spp.
A multi-season native shrub celebrated for its fragrant, bottlebrush-like white blooms in early spring, striking blue-green summer foliage, and brilliant fall color in shades of red, orange, and yellow. Witch alder thrives in woodland edges and garden borders, offering beauty and structure year-round. Native to the southeastern U.S., it supports early-season pollinators emerging from winter dormancy.
